    Presumably constucted to pillar form , to support a great marble   Statue - Torso .

Of grand proportions made at a time in the eighteenth century when new stocks of this Egyptian magical stone were unavailable due to the mines being temporary lost to the world .

NOTE :- The bold design highlighted  in gold accentuating the architectural features incorporating lions faces - imaginary snakes - and easily reconisable Roman features to the angles , including the wonderful centered rosette to the opening door .
