This Particualrly Interesting Armchair of the High Style Associated with the Extravagant Prince Regent - George 1V Whose Oppulent and Fantastic Style Developed the Royal Brighton Pavilion and Garden . Built in the Indo-Saracenic Style Prevalent in India in the 19th Century. 

 

The Unusual Features in The Palace Turrets and Stacks are Copied and Used for the Two Frontal Legs of this Quite Amazing and Individual Chair , There is an Overall Indian Feel in the Decorative Carved Wood Panels as is the Extravagant use of the Scrolling Dolphin Arms .

 

CONDITION...... There are two schools of thought as to the possible restoration . One Option Being to Gild Where Missing ,Back to the Originlal Glittering Original or to Leave Well Alone and Gently Refresh only in Parts .Leaving the Sympathetic Natural Wear and Tear of Over Two Hundred Years

.Michaels Opinion " There is a Natural Patination Showing the Various Depths and Hues of Colours Which Cannot be Reproduced ,and Being of the Old School Would Most Certainly Leave as is .
