Rather special English Octagonal Table Top Wine Cooler - Cellarette of the George 111 period , executed in the finest quality solid and veneered Mahogany with a variation  of Geometric Panels of Octagonal and Polygon design - using a mixture of  exotic West Indian Satinwood - Ebony - Boxwood -Tulipwood . These naturally patinated by a consistent soft waxing over a period of two hundred and forty years . With a rising lid revealing the original lead lining , the whole being bound and strapped by three heavy brass bandings , with strong oval finger grip shaped carrying handles . 

The quality and individual design suggest a private commission with a strong hint of Thomas Chippendale  and Gillows of Lancaster  . Third quarter of the 18th Century .

The cellarette standing upon the original eight sided stand with wonderfully carved flutings to the top rail and typical strong Chippendale moulded legs finishing in the original brass roller casters .
