A Fine Example of an English Kentian Period Looking Glass-Mirror in Superbly Carved Wood , unusually retaining the original white decoration .

Note ...The Superbly and Realisticly Carved " Lions Face " to the bottom of the frame ..

Generally in the 18th Century, Looking Glasses were Gilded to add to otherwise dimly lit rooms . This fine example of paintwork was likely to have been an integral part of the painted panelling and moulding decorations .
